According to the urban rapid rail transit network planning of Xi ’an, metro line5ismajor traffic corridors for east to west, stretch from textile city railway station in theeast to the west-Yuyao,Fengwei new city. Xi ’an city fast orbit transportationconstruction plan (2012-2018) which completed in2012, has done heritage impactassessment work of metro line5for the recent construction and planning stage.Currently, the first phase of metro line5is already started; it is at the stage ofengineering feasibility study. The line position, technical conditions,drawing depth andso on are different from recent construction planning stage, it is necessary to do furtherheritage impact assessment research for the existing solutions. In addition, highintensity development of land along the metro lines would bring some influence for thesurrounding environment of heritage, and that is not involved in the existing culturalheritage protection work of metro line5, so it is necessary to make heritage impactassessment study for this aspect. So, this study is not only the study on heritage impactassessment method in construction stage for metro line5, but also a testify for theheritage impact assessment conclusion, evaluation methods in recent constructionplanning stage, and it has carried on a explonation of heritage impact assessment of highstrength development along the metro lines, that has an very important practicalsignificance and practical value for metro line5heritage protection. This paper on thebasis of Xi ’an rapid rail traffic impact assessment existing methods and results, firstlyanalyzed the impact of subway planning and construction for heritage, which could besummed up in two aspects: the first one is the impact of subway construction andoperation for heritage, the second one is analyzed influence on the heritage surroundingenvironment casued by land development’s along the metro lines, and put forward to taking latter evaluation into the heritage impact assessment system. Then, reviewedmetro line5related work for the protection of heritage and summarized the existinglack in heritage impact assessment work. Again, in view of the above-mentioned twoaspects, selecting appropriate impact factors respectively, to determine the assessmentscope, assessment standard and assessment process. In the former Assessmentinfluence, explicated metro construction stage, vibration evaluation scope is60m, andcorrected the existing chromatography evaluation; In the latter influence Assessment,combined with the TOD theory and the effect of corridor, determined the scope of theassessment for the site are around0-200m range,200-500m range,500-800m range and800m range along the metro lines. Fourth, using the method of chromatographicsuperposition method, took cultural impact assessment on the metro line5, cleared theheritage list, quantificational descripted affected degree of heritage. Finally, on the basisof the evaluation, through present situation investigation and analysis, put forward thecorresponding measures for the protection of heritage and that would provide certainhelp for heritage protection along the metro line5.
