Residential micro-climate are the main factors influencing the outdoor thermalcomfort, and are also the main climate factors affect the buildings. As a modern form ofhuman settlements while the city residential area expands unceasingly and the trend ofpopulation has become increasingly intense, residential area’s environmental conditionshave been paid more attention. Creating a comfortable living environment to improvethe need of people’s living standard, is the necessary of social progress, the developmentof science and technology.Residential micro-climate is mainly including outdoor temperature, humidity, windspeed, and radiation. Residential micro-climate not only determines the outdoor thermalcomfort, but also have an important impact on building energy consumption. Thisarticle points two parts of the natural environment and artificial environment factors todiscuss the factors, which affect the residential microclimate. Natural environmentfactor is the climate. Artificial environment factors can be divided into single building,building layout and underlying surface condition. Finally the numerical relationshipbetween the factors which affect residential thermal environment are analyzed throughthe heat balance equation. Introduced two important index for evaluation of outdoorthermal environment, mean radiant temperature and wet bulb globe temperature.Introduced important standard evaluation of residential thermal environment at homeand abroad.The Tibetan plateau is a special climate region in China. The overall averagetemperature is low. Summer temperature is cool and comfortable. Winter temperature iscold. And there is a big temperature gap between day and night. Annual wind speed is high, and the solar radiation is strong. The existing research on micro-climate researchin this area is less. And residential design standards and specifications shall not apply tothis area. So this article mainly aimed at residential micro-climate research in this area.Research tested the Xining residential micro-climate environment in winter, andanalysed the test data. With urban climate simulation analysis software ENVI-met themicroclimate environment is simulated. Compared with the test results test and verify.Then using urban climate simulation software ENVI-met to simulate the6kinds ofdifferent factors which influence on the residential micro-climate. Finally got thecorresponding residential micro-climate control method.
