| As the development of automobile industry gets stronger, the vehicle sales andpopulation have rapidly increased. This also means that after-sales services have becamemore important. Dealing with customers’ complaints and rectifying the problems in a timedmanner together with improved products’ quality all make a big difference to customers’satisfaction.In this article, I have used the failure statistics data of rack and pinion power steeringgear. By analyzing the failure mode (column diagram) and failure mode effects andcriticality of rack and pinion power steering gear, I can create a failure prediction model inorder to predict the chances of failure within a period of time. By that I can predict thefailure risks of the rack and pinion power steering gear. Based on the above research, Ihave also created the repair cycle model and predicted the optimal repair cycle. Theresearch is very useful to support repair management.According to our research, from failure mode of the rack and pinion power steeringgear to the failure prediction model and onto to its repair cycle model, I have surelyprovided a scientific study of repair management to the rack and pinion power steeringgear. |
