Guided bombs are air-to-surface aerial guided munitions, which are the main battle weapons toachieve air raid and precision strike. In order to meet the needs of the modern high-tech warfare andimprove the precision strike capability, research of guided bombs is significant.On the background of the project of changing our conventional bombs into guided bombs, theguidance and control technology are deeply researched, including dynamic characteristic analysis,guidance law design, control loop design and simulation technology. The brief research points are asfollows:Firstly, the6DOF mathematical model and simplified model of guided bomb are established. Thenon-linear equation of guided bomb is transformed into linear equation using small disturbance theory.Guided bomb’s stability is discussed as well as its maneuverability.Next, segmented composite guidance theory is proposed, the project trajectory is designed,including initial phase, gliding phase, transition phase and diving phase. According to the demands offiring range, miss distance and impact angle, gliding phase is designed to maximize lift-to-drag ratio.In diving phase, a design method of suboptimal guidance law with multi-constraints is presented inthe longitudinal plane, and proportional navigation is applied to the lateral plane. On the basis ofguidance law, the thesis gives the realization of virtual guidance.Then, on the basis of analyzing project trajectory, the control law of pitch loop, yaw loop and rollloop is presented. The mathematical simulation platform is constructed as well. The control parameteroptimization is achieved by modified simplex algorithm.Finally, hardware-in-the-loop simulation experiments are performed based on the demand for acertain type of guided bombs. The result of hardware-in-the-loop simulation is discussed. Theeffectiveness of control parameters is checked, which provides a reliable theoretical basis for guidedbombs in the real flight.
