| Doubly Salient Electro-Magnetic Machine is a relative new type of DC brushless machine, which has the characteristics of simple structure, high-speed capability, reliability, and power density. Also it is easier to control and has a fast dynamic response when it is used as a generator.This paper first analyses the static characteristics of the 30kW 12/8 pole Doubly Salient Electro-Magnetic Machine, including the magnetic field, fluxlinkage and inductance characteristics, which is the basic theoretical foundation of the regulation system model.Then with the help of finite element method of field analysis, the non-linear model of Doubly Salient Electro-Magnetic Generator is built by analizing the modal operation and using the data of finite element analysis. And all math models are worked by MATLAB, which considers the state of phase commutation, and makes the model simulating more like a real motor running.The whole regulation system is built up with the excitation regulating circuit model and generator model. After designing the strategy of regulation, system simulation has been done to the suddenly loading and unloading.In the end, the non-load characteristics, voltage characteristics and regulative characteristics of this motor has been tested. The regulation testing is made to confirm the validity of this regulation system model. |
