Bucket-wheel reclaimer as an efficient bulk material handling conveyor widely usedin ports, terminals and other places reclaimer operations. Qinhuangdao Port as the mainhub of the coal from north to south is a very important position in national economicdevelopment. Bucket-wheel reclaimer as important production facilities in QinhuangdaoPort, stable and efficient operation of the equipment will affect the productivity of theentire operating line. The bucket-wheel reclaimer in the1980s, has been running fortwenty years。The device’s electrical system transformation has become a pressing issue.This dissertation first introduces the operation principle and basic structure of thebucket-wheel reclaimer electrical system, and reliable, practical and operable as a startingpoint on the electrical system problems. The dissertation discusses the bucket-wheelreclaimer electrical rehabilitation programs, particularly for the master PLC, travelingmechanism, slewing mechanism, conducted in-depth explanation.Second, the dissertation described in detail the main control system of the bucketwheel reclaimer, the configuration of Unity Pro, the control program of the slewingmechanism and the configuration of Profibus bus communications module. The articlealso introduces the principle of inverter control-Direct Torque Control DTC andconfiguration of ABB inverter.Finally, the bucket-wheel reclaimer operation process, a full explanation, to make thetransformation, the bucket-wheel reclaimer can successfully put into production.
