This thesis introduced the development and application of emulsified asphalt andmodified emulsified asphalt at home and abroad. The formation of emulsified asphalt,the mechanism of emulsification, modification and stabilization, the preparationprocesses were included. The selection of emulsifying, modifying and stabilizing agentand the effects of agent dose on evaporation residue of modified emulsified asphaltwere investigated. And also the effects of emulsification condition on the emulsionformation.CR latex was chosen as modifying agent, curing agent was added to make sure theCR latex cross-linked at room temperature. Through observations with microscope andinfrared spectra, it was found that cross-linking reaction of CR latex occurred. Duringthe process of modifying, the properties of modified emulsified asphalt which wereprepared from3different stabilizing and emulsifying agent were examined, It show theresult with screening and various performance tests that: Through comparison of everyproperty, the modified emulsified asphalt appeared better properties than commonemulsified asphalt when secondary thermal mixing process was adopted and under thefollowing condition: PH value was5-6, oil temperature was125℃, water temperaturewas70℃, oil-water ratio was6:4and dose of emulsifying, modifying and stabilizingagent were0.8%,5%and0.5%respectively.The pavement performance of modified emulsified asphalt were tested throughaspects of water tightness, high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance andadhesion, It was found that modified emulsified asphalt added with curing agent showedsuperior properties and more obvious performance improvement than modifiedemulsified asphalt free of curing agent and common emulsified asphalt.With the rapid development of Chinese bridge construction, people pay moreattention the safety, durability of structure besides the appearance. The paper expoundedsome aspects such as the waterproof necessity of bridge deck, design principle,construction characteristics and methods, the choice of waterproof materials, diseasecaused by waterproof layer and remedial measures, in order to provide theoretical basisfor waterproof of bridge, durability of bridge structure and service life of bridgepavement.
