| Considering the status of rural highway in Chongqing and the requirement of paving asphalt in some rural areas, this paper carries out the research of the application technology of emulsified asphalt mixture roads in the rural highway.Firstly, by means of the use of "approach of MSSF mineral aggregation grading design ", the gradation of the mineral used in the experiment is determined.Secondly, on the basis of referring to research results both home and abroad and the generally-used revised Marshall testing method and with the consideration of the features of the cationic emulsified asphalt, the re-modified Marshall testing method fit for the mixture of cement and emulsified asphalt is proposed. With four typical influencing factors such as the amount of asphalt, gradation, the amount of the cement and the amount of water selected and with the Marshall stability as the evaluation index of the strength of mixture, it has systematically analyses the effect caused by using the orthogonal design and initially sets the mixing ratio of the cement and the mixture of emulsified asphalt. Then with the consideration of the compressive strength test and the costs, the ratio has finally been defined as follows: 3.6% asphalt, GAC-13 aggregation grading, 3% cement and 5.5% water.Thirdly, it has made a research on the high- temperature stability of emulsified asphalt mixture and the stability and the fatigue-resistant property of water. Meanwhile, after analyzing the strength formation mechanism of the general emulsified asphalt mixture and the cement - emulsified asphalt mixture which indicates that the pavement performance of the latter is better than the former and is a kind of good road material.Lastly, it studies in the construction technology and the costs of emulsified asphalt mixture, which shows cement-emulsified asphalt mixture, as a sort of new road material, has significant economic and social profits and can be generally used in rural road construction.
