Study On The Decision-making Information Before Travel By Expressway

Travel information service system of expressway is a information system to getthe arterial highway network running efficiently, it can provide assistance to peoplewho need to make travel decisions before they start. However, the current travelinformation service system of expressway only provides the path information anddynamic events, more information that can clearly reveal the performance of the routeare not provided. So the users of the travel information service system can’t knowwell about the performance of route when they make decision before travel. Therefore,in order to improve the effect of the travel information service system, this paperstudy on the need、the description methods and the influence of the decision-makinginformation.The paper begin with the analysis of the users’ role in transportation, thenanalysed the quality demand of the transportation, base on that, combined with theanalyzing of the affecting factors from road、traffic and environmental, then got theinformation needs when travelers make travel decision. By reference to existingresearch conclusion, analysed the index that can describe the influence of theaffecting factors, established the travel trips’ descriptive models structure ofaccessibility、security、rapidity、economy、comfort、convenience, set up the calculativemodel of each index, use the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method, calculatedthe weight of each element. Finally, by analyzing the travelers’ activity patterns indifferent background, got the information structure that travelers focus on.
