With constantly improve the level of China’s economy and the acceleratingprocess of urbanization, Urban water supply utilities facing new challenges, Urbanwater supply, water pressure, water quality must meet the new requirements in order tomeet the development of the city, Faced with increasingly severe water environment,the planning of water supply systems needs to meet very strict demands.This paper studied on the planning of water supply in long gang district ofShenzhen city. We focus on the following work: some important question is aboutwater demand forecasting; Utilization of water resources planning layout; Water plantlayout; layout of pipe network and pipe network adjustment; Water security measures.In water demand forecast, two methodologies: category gross floor indicator approachand classified land area indicator approach, are used to forecast water demand of longgang district. Trend method, the unit the population water standards and the unitconstruction land water standards are used to check the prediction of water. In thewater plant layout, the water plants are distributed according to the water demand.Water quality in the long gang district are based on the recommend water qualitystandard. The distribution of pipe network is based on the water demand and the mainpipe is linked. We adjust the pipe network with the Hong ye municipal pipeline. Toensure that it meets the demand for water in urban development, we checked the pipenetwork density load and the water supply facilities load to ensure that it meets thedemand for water in urban development. Many water security measures have beenimplemented.
