Tower crane is the most important machine for the operation of the port. LHM250tower crane of Libeherr is a mobile tower crane with tires. Compared with normal towercrane, LHM250tower crane have lots of outstanding advantages. Twenty-four groups oftires make tower crane move smoothly. The largest weight is64t, tower crane with hugebulk, long boom suit not only for shipping but also for loading with high reliability. Theobject of this paper is libehere’s LHM250tower crane researched, the question in theoperation is resolved. The result of research has high applying worth.The question in the operation of electrical control system is aimed at. The object ofLHM250tower crane of libeherr is analyzed. The analyzing include the structure andcharacteristics of hoist, boom, slewing platform, under carriage, tower and so on. Thedesign of hardware and software is judged by the analyzing.In order to make date transform quickly and stably, the electrical control system isbased on CAN BUS. The function of tower crane is based on the design of hardware andsoftware. Design of the hardware, including the design of the web structure, the selectionof the electrical component, the design of central processing unit and so on. The design ofsoftware include the program of the starting system, the program of the hoisting system,the program of the luffing system, the program of the slewing system, the program of thetraveling system and so on. Through the analyzing of the electrical control system, theanalyzing provided foundation for the diagnosing of the breakdown.Aimed the question of the electrical control system of tower crane, the program of thediagnosing of the breakdown is designed. Through the design of the diagnosing of thebreakdown, the diagnosing of the breakdown is realized. When the signal is wrong, thediagnosing of the breakdown is working and sending alarm to operator.The design of the electrical control system is a bold try,the design of the electricalcontrol system is bogged down all along in the domestic. The design of the electricalcontrol system based on CAN BUS can be an example, and bring forth new ideas for theelectrical control system in the domestic.
