With the development of the automotive industry at home and abroad,people livemore convenient than before,at the same time negative effects come out.Since trafficjams,traffic accidents,stealing car and criming using vehicles have been of commonoccurrence,therefore designing a effective monitor system to monitor and control thevehicles has become necessary.The traffic information was fed back to the vehicleterminal from the remote monitoring center while driving,which could avoid trafficjams;Found the stolen vehicles by GPS Vehicle Location System;If the deadline of therental vehicles has arrived,the remote monitoring center would lock the vehicles andunlock the vehicles if paid the rent for the vehicles;Without management of ahigh-efficiency monitor system,all of these functions could not be done.The monitor system is composed of the remote monitoring center and the vehicleterminal.The remote monitoring center has to know the realtime parameters of thevehicle,such as position,body parts parameters and so on,and send commands to thevehicle;The vehicle terminal has to finish the work on CAN network communicationand control,send the information to the remote monitoring center and receive thecommands from the remote monitoring center.This paper proposed an implementation scheme of vehicle terminal of GPSmonitor system base on CAN-bus and3G wireless communication,presented the designscheme of the software and hardware,realized the driver of CAN controller andCANopen network communication,added USB3G driver to system kernel.in addition,at the application layer,realized3G wireless communication,protocol translation,readingGPS data and so on,Vehicle control network of the research has chosen CAN-bus and CANopenprotocol of the CAN Application Layer,analyzed CAN bus technical regulations andCANopen protocol, then focused on introducing the implementation scheme of CANcommunication of vehicle terminal based on CANopen.While the remote monitoringcenter need the body parts parameters and position parameters,vehicle terminal systemgot CAN data or GPS data,then encapsulated them into Ethernet frames to send toremote monitoring center by socket API.while the remote monitoring center sent tovehicle terminal some commands or data,the Ethernet frames had to be translated intoCANopen message,then sent to CAN network.The protocol translation module translated the CANopen and Ethernet message..Vehicle terminal used ARM11board of Forlinx company and linux as platform,QTas development technology,and finally it worked successfully and steadily aftertesting,and met the designer’s demand.
