As an important growth point of national economy, the construction industry plays a very important role in promoting social development and improving people’s living level. But the construction industry also has many unstable factors of safety. The construction safety accidents happen frequently, bring the negative influence to the enterprises, families and society, and have become a block for the sustainable development of t construction industry. We must continue to study to find more effective ways to identify and control the hazards, according to the current research results of hazard source identification and control.The article analyzes the current situation of the engineering construction safety, mainly discusses the prevention of construction safety accidents and the hazards of identification and control, combined with the construction practice. At the same time, according to the principle, the order and the methods of the construction hazard control, it provides methods of controlling the current common hazard of enginerring construction from the technology, management and human behavior control, and it elaborates the classified management and the application of construction safety standardization to the dangerous source, particularly emphases the construction hazard dynamic control necessity. Based on the risk evaluation method of LEC analysis, put forward to enginerring construction company employees and subcontractors involved personally in hazard identification, evaluation and construction at present, to reduse the phenomenon including person arranged, not objective, lack of communication between general contracting and subcontracting in identifying and evaluating the hazard.Finally, it takes a library project as an example, the first-line employees, subcontractors are absorbed into the risk assessment team, to dentify and evaluate the library construction hazard, especially the dangerous source of the subcontracted projects and the adoption of new technology. Basing on the evaluation results and the analysis, it provides some measures of hazard control.
