Abstract/Summary:
This article carried out research on the effect of bearing capacity of compression-flexure members with concrete compressive bearing capacity degradation after corrosion, and the bearing capacity calculation method of compression-flexure members after corrosion. With ABAQUS setting up finite element model, considering the different thickness of concrete cover, spacing of stirrups and eccentricity, the effects of the corrosion expansion of steels on the bearing capacity of compression-flexures were analyzed, Research shows that, the effect of corrosion expansion on the bearing capacity of the compression-flexure members should not be ignored; under the action of concrete cracking criticality corrosion expansion stress, With concrete cover thickness and spacing of stirrups increasing, the unfavorable effects that steels corrosion expansion to the bearing capacity of compression-flexures intensified, but the unfavorable effects that different spacing of stirrups on the bearing capacity of compression-flexures has not a rule can be followed. The influence that concrete cover thickness had on depth of the bearing capacity decline of the components is the most significant, stirrup spacing comes second and the eccentricity is the minimal; Members with large eccentricity decreased relatively small.By supposed the compressive strength of concrete presents a double-linear distribution in the corrosion affected zone in member section, the bearing capacity formula of compression-flexures with the concrete of compressive zone corrosive degradation at limit state is deduced.Compared the results between theoretical calculation and finite element calculation, the outcomes coincide each other well, which shows that supposed stress distribution in the corrosion affected zone in member section during deducing the formula is reasonable. For further illumination about the applicable of these formulas, this paper presents steps to calculate the bearing capacity of compression-flexures with the concrete of compressive zone corrosive degradation at limit state, and two examples are enumerated. The research results can provide reference for bearing capacity evaluation of existing compression-flexure members.
