Disquisition Of Equipment Management Of International Power Plant EPC Project

Along with the start of21st century, electric power Construction Corporation of China put in practice the stratagem of "walk out" and contracts the power plant construction work on the basis of EPC all over the world. In the process of the construction of EPC project, most of the equipment is purchased from the country outside the project-host country and dispatched to the project then. So all works including procurement, delivery, storage and claiming compensation are the absolutely necessary to be done well for the profit-maximization. This paper described the whole process management of EPC Project from the perspective of contractor. This paper takes the JHARSUGUDA4*600MW project of India as an example and describes following content of EPC equipment management detailed:acting factor of EPC Project equipment management control system; organization of EPC Project equipment management control system; equipment management flow and Management by Objectives; scope management; human resource management; bidding management; contract management; supplier management; inspection and expediting management; warehouse and transportation management; site management; claims management etc. This paper also introduces the application of EPC equipment management information systems and the information networked technology is successfully applied to the equipment management of EPC Project namely in order to simplify the EPC Project equipment management, realizes information share and also convenient for accumulation and administration, save the manpower, avoid the error and improve the working efficiency. This paper is written according to the amount information I accumulate from my daily work and strive to rationalize scientific and offer some reference and inspiration for all business colleagues.
