Panxi area is located in the border between yunnan and sichuan,with terrain dangerous, ravines crossbar, more mountain, and complex geological conditions.now with the development of the regional economic, regional construction boom continues to increase,so a lot of artificial backfill high Xigeda-soil slopes are built. In this region,Xigeda-soil have special engineering properties,such as micro absorption expansion, disintegration, softening and argillization, because of containing a large number of mainly illite minerals, which has strong hydrophilicity. The shear strength of Xigeda-soil was low. Especially in the rainy season or groundwater seriously and under the condition of water infiltration,the shear strength of Xigeda-soil will be reduced greatly.Then the slope will produce collapse, landslides and other geological disasters,caused by the instability of destruction. Now have many case of high Xigeda-soil slope governance, although adopted many treatment technologies, such as anchor cable (anchor) ground beam, reinforcement, large anti-slide pile reinforcement measures.But because of no deep understanding and attention special engineering properties of Xigeda-soil, so some engineerings did not take the modification or waterproof and drainage measures. During the rainy season or groundwater seriously, under the effect of water infiltration, soil softening, erosion, the shear strength of Xigeda-soil in the high slope is reduced sharply,so stress fail in the anchor rope (anchor) ground beam, geotextile and soil anchorage. Then the whole soil anchor solid on the lost constraint function, at the same time, the slope will have had a serious collapse, eventually leading to slope slip crack, even producing landslides. So it has great guiding significance and reference value for Xigeda-soil’s high slope of soil filling engineering construction in panxi region that Xigeda-soil’s experimental study of soil modification.There are a few scholars have carried on the experimental study on Xigeda-soil modification with water glass Xigeda-soil research. Through test of limit moisture content with the different amount of modified soil adding in lime, this paper Analysis of effect of the different dosage of lime on the plastic limit, liquid limit and hydrophilic modification; Through the compaction test, the paper analyzes the effect of different dosage of lime on the properties of modified soil compaction; Through triaxial test, analysis of the different dosage of lime on the modification effect of the shear strength of soil.
