| With the development of the social times and the improvement of people’s living standard, people attach more and more importance to the the quality of dining environment in dining space. The design of dining space becomes an important window through which a region shows its regional culture, folk custom and life quality. Therefore, the cultural design of dining space becomes a development trend.This paper discusses how to integrate characteristics of regions south of the Yangtze River into the design of dining space and create dining space rich in the culture of regions south of the Yangtze River through the application of some elements of regions south of the Yangtze River and the manifestation of design method with the culture of regions south of the Yangtze River as the background and dining space as the research object. This paper first introduces the research background, objective, significance, content and method. Part two analyzes the culture of regions south of the Yangtze River in detail from territorial scope to historical development and from its gardens and buildings to ideological connotations. Part three describes the development history and of dining space design from the cultural perspective of regions south of the Yangtze River and the effect of dining space construction and urban development in such regions. Part four describes the application principle and technique of expression of the culture of regions south of the Yangtze River in the design of dining space. Part five extracts elements of cultural design of such regions, supplemented by case information, and describes how to create dining space with regional characteristics of regions south of the Yangtze River based on the furniture of traditional rooms and building technique of gardens in regions south of the Yangtze River.This paper is innovative in concretizing the abstract and studying the regional design of dining space with a more visual and detailed thought based on full analysis on the culture of regions south of the Yangtze River with Chinese culture as the overall background. Promoting work in all areas by drawing upon the experience gained on key points has profound influence on the research and development of regionalism of dining space and the creation of characteristic space environment. |
