In recent years, the overhead vertical wharf structures which adapted to high levelcharacteristics are more and more used in inland river basins, but there are so manycomponents in this new structure which lead to more complex, also the structure formvary with the change of hydrological conditions, which leads to its different of dynamiccharacteristics and seismic performance. The existing relevant studies on the overheadvertical wharf dynamic characteristics and mechanical quayside container loading andunloading dynamic characteristics, but not considered the interact and affect betweeneach other, so the study on the influence of upper handling machinery load on thedynamic properties of the wharf structure is very necessary. This paper based onChongqing Port Guoyuan Container Terminal Phase II project, establish the overallthree-dimensional model of wharf structure and Shore Bridge, and mainly studies thefollowing contents:First, using ANSYS to carry on modal analysis respectively through the wholemodel, considering the influence of shore bridge on wharf structure, according to thecrane hook in different position and whether there are goods, The analysis found thehook and goods relative to the shore bridge itself weight is very small, position andhook is almost no effect on the analysis results, in addition,due to the influence of shorebridge pier, the natural frequency of the structure becomes more concentrated andfrequency.Then, using ANSYS to carry on the spectrum analysis on the basis of modalanalysis from three directions respectively, we get the maximum displacement of thestructure when excites from longitudinal direction, the presence of the quay cranemakes the displacement and bending moment of structure a small reduction. Byextracting displacement response spectrum of the quay crane outrigger to analysisoverturning of Shore Bridge possible, providing the basis for the following analysis.Finally, in the case of assumed that the quay crane overturning calculate the forceof each of the major components of the structure, and find the most unfavorable loadcombination every main components through a lot of the load combinations, comparedifferent internal forces between normal quay crane and overturning state of quay crane,and get the influence of overturning quay crane on pier components. I hope that theresearch results can provide a reference for the design.
