All-vertical-piled wharf with bottom beams structure can meet flood controlrequirements and be able to withstand large horizontal loads. The wharf structuraltype application is still in the initial stage, it is necessary to study on dynamiccharacteristics of all-vertical-piled wharf with bottom beams structure tounderstanding the stiffness characteristics. On the other hand, ship impact force ofship berthing is the most important horizontal load in the process of pier operations,itis significant to study the dynamic response of the all-vertical-piled wharf withbottom beams structure when the ship Berthing.The dynamic response of the pier structure is a typical fluid-structure couplingproblem.The fluid-structure coupling was neglected in the existing research on thepier structures and the dynamic response of the pier structure without water isdifferent from the actual working state of wharf.In this paper, the fluid-structurecoupling was considered.At first,the dynamic characteristics of all-vertical-piledwharf with bottom beams structure was analyzed, which includes the structuralfrequency and mode,then discussed the impact at different water levers on thedynamic characteristics. On this basis, the ship-rubber fenders-wharf structure-waterinteraction in the finite element model was built based on the fluid-structure couplingto simulate the process of ship berthing.By the research of collision simulations,weobtain the method of conveying energy , the impact with water on the dynamicresponse of wharf structure, the stress characteristics of all-vertical-piled wharf withbottom beams structure under horizontal load. At last, this paper discusses theinfluence of different berthing location, the water level, initial velocity and shipquality to the characteristics of structure in collision, then obtains the worst berthingcondition and the different berthing factors on the effects of ship impact load.
