Research On Project Risk Management Of Overseas EPC Project

Based on the development and the characteristics of overseas EPC projects of China, this article pointed out that the EPC contractor face high project risk during implementation of overseas EPC project, so the research and study on project risk management of overseas EPC project for a contracting enterprise is the most important task of project management. This article first made a brief introduction to characteristics of risks of EPC project, and then described the project risk management theory, and discussed the applicable risk identification and risk prevention menthols of overseas EPC contracting project.The article took Vietnam Song Con Hydropower EPC Project as an example, expounded methods of risk identification and risk prevention measures taken by EPC contractor during the project bidding phase, design phase, procurement phase and construction phase. At the end, the aricle pointed out the worth learning places of Vietnam Song Con Hydropower EPC Project in the risk management process, as well as the problems and suggestions for improvement of the work of the project risk management problem and a method of improving the risk management of Song Con Hydropower EPC projects.
