AGV, Automatic Guided Vehicle, is an automated carrying tool. Its flexiblenetworking capability has made AGV the main means of transport in the automatedhandling systems. With the rapid development of science and technology, AutomaticGuided Vehicle (AGV) is growing in popularity in the industrial production of flexiblemanufacturing, logistics and automotive industry. Almost all automobile assembly lines areadopting automatic assembly technology. Automotive bumper production line is anessential production line in the automotive industry.MingJie Mold Co., Ltd. is an accessory enterprise, which assemblies car bumper forDongfeng Automobile. The enterprise bumper assembly line is operated by full manual. Inthis paper, the idea of automatically guided vehicles is introduced into the bumperassembly line in order to improve production efficiency and further reduce labor costs, theuse of flexible transportation line consisted by automatic guided vehicle in the bumperassembly line, upgraded to semi-automated assembly line. This article will study theapplication of automatically guided vehicles in car bumper assembly line.This paper systematically proposes AGV control system designing scheme based thegeomagnetic guiding, designs the AGV car body configuration suitable for car bumpertransportation and hardware circuit for AGV vehicle control system, sets up LabVIEWplatform PC monitoring platform, research Fuzzy-PID control algorithm to achieve in thethe AGV vehicle tracking control and simulation. Parking spaces, the overall layout of thestation, the bumper assembly line workshop and planning the geomagnetic guides buriedroutes, elaborate multi AGV vehicles to coordinate transportationTheoretic analysis and simulation results shows that the AGV control system isfeasible based on industrial PC monitoring platform and hardware circuit withMSP430F449as its cybernetic core. With magnetic guiding method and Fuzzy-PIDalgorithm, AGV tracking control system can guide the AGV vehicles automatically verywell. The design of the whole system reaches the expected design requirements.
