The prompt and detailed military information is such important in all kinds ofmilitary matters as the development of modern warfare. Traditional military mapappears much disadvantage because of limited information volume and so on. It is thetrend to develop electronic map display system with mass information volume andportability. There comes the pico-projector technology with large projecting scope andportability.The research of pico-projector is targeted based on that requirement. By integratingprojecting technology and embedded technology, the design of pico-projector whichmeets the military requirement is proposed. The main contents are:1. The architecture of a portable pico-projector’s embedded system is proposed. Bydesigned based on the embedded core processor and embedded operating system, theportable pico-projector’s embedded system meets the need with necessary peripherals,applications and drivers.2. The architecture of a portable pico-projector’s embedded hardware system isproposed. By designed based on the S3C6410and three part boards technology, thehardware system includes system board, driver board and optical engine which supportsthe platform.3. The architecture of a portable pico-projector’s embedded software system isproposed. By designed based on the Android embedded system with necessarycomponent driver and kinds of application, the embedded software system includesthree parts: view, model and controller which derived from MVC developing model.4. The setting application software which can offer kinds of setting operations tousers is designed and implemented. It composed of three parts: user interface, datamanagement, instruction driver. By packaging the instructions of device, settingsoftware offer users interface to set the pico-projector.The embedded system architecture design of pico projector has been provedcorrect and practicable after researching and demonstrating many times. Meanwhile thesetting application software can respond users’ instruction smoothly and correctly after testing many times, and it can be referred in later period.
