Research On The Accessibility Of Urban Green Open Space Of Zigong

Urban green open space is the public space with green as the main body, is the oasis and beautiful recreation space in the city, providing leisurely activity place for urban residents. However, currently, the domestic studies of urban green open space focus mainly on small scale analysis, rarely on whether the space distribution is reasonable, and city residents can enjoy the green open space fairly, which belongs to the field of accessibility.Zigong, as one of the central city of Chongqing-Chengdu economic zone, along with the development of economy, its ecological construction is also very important. The government aims at creating the "ecological garden Zigong" and improving the life quality of the citizens. However, there are blind areas in Zigong green open space layout. Therefore, reasonable layout and construction humanized urban green open space which provides leisure places for citizens, is the priority task for creating the ecological garden city. In this paper, as the basis of multiple discipline theories, methods such as questionnaire investigation, comparison, summarizes were used to investigate the accessibility of urban green open space of Zigong.Firstly, the concept of accessibility was defined in this paper:the difficulties, absolutely or relatively, for people to overcome the space resistance and arrive at the urban green open space from any point defined in this space, which reflects the space resistance suffered by people in order to arrive at the urban green open space. Meanwhile, the comprehensive situation of Zigong’s urban green open space and the demands of residents for that were investigated and analyzed, and finally the existing problems and blind areas of Zigong’s urban green open space were found out.Zigong, as a typical hilly city, the complex topography determined the particularity of its urban green open space accessibility. Combined with the current situation of Zigong green open space, the resistance factors, such as the terrain factors, the transportation system status, the land usage, its own attractiveness and fitness, of the accessibility were analyzed, together with the examples. Furthermore, an evaluation method for the accessibility of Zigong’s urban green open space was proposed:based on the GIS network analysis, the accessibility of urban green open space of Zigong was evaluated. The ranges walking to which would cost the residents5min,10min,20min, and30min were obtained, then the service area ratio and service population ratio were used to evaluate the capability of the green open space in different districts.Finally, aim at the existing problems of accessibility of urban green open space of Zigong, this study proposed related strategies from the angle of urban planners and managers; and combined the latest master plan of Zigong (2011-2030), put forward the new layout of urban green open space of Zigong based on the accessibility, and provided some references and guidance for the planning and construction of the urban green open space of Zigong.
