at present,few researchers have investigated theoretically and experimentally the performance of square concrete-filled steel tubular column, specifically on behavior of square concrete-filled steel tubular column under bias compression.Therefore,it is necessary to make further researches on behavior of square concrete-filled steel tubular column.Rely on the finite element software of ansys,we study on behavior of square concrete-filled steel tubular column under axis compression through nine square of concrete filled steel tubular short columns in the paper. The results show that the increase in concrete strength, steel strength and thickness of steel tubular can improve the bearing capacity of the square steel concrete short column, in which the thickness of square steel tube affects most.However, the increase in slenderness ratio of square steel tube will induces the bearing capacity of the square steel concrete short column.we simulate its mechanical properties under bias compression through13square concrete-filled steel tubular columns. According to the calculation results,with the increase of load eccentricity, the ultimate bearing capacity of square steel tube concrete columns decreases rapidly. When the eccentricity is less than0.4, the ultimate bearing capacity of square steel tube concrete columns decrease rapidly.Howerve, when the eccentricity is more than0.4, the ultimate bearing capacity of square steel tube concrete columns decrease slowly.With the eccentricity increasing.the square steel tube concrete column has a bigger deflection. The results also show that the increase in concrete strength, steel strength and thickness of steel tubular can improve the bearing capacity of the square steel concrete short column. The increase in slenderness ratio of square steel tube will induces the bearing capacity of the square steel concrete short column. Among all the factors,the slenderness ratio of square steel tube has most significan.The research conclusion of the article has the certain leading meaning to the design and constructions of square concrete-filled steel tubular columns.
