The RC frame structure and RC frame shear wall structures are being widely usedin civil construction. In order to meet the requirements of the use of the building, morean more frame structure with few shear walls appears in recent years. It can be seen inthe Code for Seismic Design of Buildings(GB50011-2010)that: RC frame structurewith few shear walls means the seismic overturning moment of shear walls is greaterthan the total of earthquake overturning moment50%. The seismic performance of RCframe structure with few shear walls is different with RC frame structure and typical RCframe shear wall structures. The main analysis is as follows:As the object of study, RC frame structure which doesn’t satisfy the elasticallowable value of drift angle will be installed with few shear walls. Summaries the lawbetween the seismic overturning moment ratio of shear walls and the elastic value ofdrift angle. Through the comparison of the calculated result of inter-story drift indexand the allowable inter-story drift index in Code for Seismic Design of Buildings(GB50011-2010),Judge the rationality and practicability of the stipulation about theallowable inter-story drift index in Code for Seismic Design of Buildings(GB50011-2010)Analyze the elastic value of drift angle of models caring the shear wall stiffnessdegradation. Examine the rationality of analysis method caring the shear wall stiffnessdegradation when analyze the elastic value of drift angle.This paper suggests a new method for the substitution of shear wall in nonlinearanalysis. Through the comparison of the analytic result of a RC frame shear wallstructure by SAP2000and the outcome of the experiment, the calculated andexperiment results are shown to be in good agreement, judge the rationality of newmethod for the substitution of shear wall proposed in this paper.We adopted the large-scale finite element software SAP2000to simulate RC framestructure with few shear walls and nonlinear finite element analysis is completed.Summarize the law of yield mechanism by using the analytical results and offerbeneficial exploration to this conclusion.
