GJ Steel has been applied in the important structure more and more, because of its high performance. The production standard has been issued and implemented, but the design standard of the material hasn’t been added timely. Whereas the research results of GJ Steel flexural member are less at present, This paper has carried on the experi-mental study and finite element analysis about GJ Steel flexural member.Experimental study of this article mainly includes the material mechanics perfor-mance test, section residual stress and the flexural member overall stability test. The fundamental mechanical performance of material in two different plate thickness,8mm,10mm are tested. The section of residual stress test for two kinds of H-shaped members, H300×200×8×10and H400×200×8×10are studied. Flexural member overall stability test component is divided into two kinds of span length, four section, Study on empha-sis of the flexural members test is the buckling behavior of weak axis.Taking into the actual stress-strain relationship and the actual residual stress mode account, considering the initial geometric, the flexural members of sections corres-ponding buckling patterns, loading-displacement curves, the moment-rotation curves are obtained through the finite element analysis. Then, the test results and the calculated results are contrastive analyzed.Through the comparison test results with analysis, the conclusion that test results are significantly better than the finite element analysis is obtained. On the basis of finite element model is correct, some influencing factors are analysed, the friction at the loading point, the constraints of supports and the performance of material are consi-dered to be the main factors. In order to use the GJ Steel reasonably, It must be make some experiments further, on the basis of solving the impact of these factors. And then get the calculation method of the stability factor. This project is to lay a good founda-tion for the promotion of GJ Steel in the practical application.
