Study On Logistics Development Of Economic Area Port In Tianjin Harbor

Tianjin Harbor Economic Area consists of Tianjin Lingang Industrial Port andTianjin Port Industry Area, is one of the national recycling economy demonstrationzone and Binhai New Area nine functional areas, position in constructing equipmentmanufacturing cotype port economic of north China, depending on port logistics todevelop equipment manufacturing industry. Port is the soul and the key of HarborEconomic Area. The prosperity of port logistics played an important role in theHarbor Economic Area even in the whole Binhai New Area. But nowadays, theconstruction and the development of Lingang was still in its infancy, the theory andexperiences which guiding port logistics development was insufficient. This articleusing qualitative and quantitative analysis aimed at putting forward some referencesuggestions for the development of Lingang port logistics.main research contents：1. This paper introduced the development status of Tianjin Harbor EconomicArea and Dagukou port, operation and management mode of Dagukou port, main planindexes and information of current public port. In addition, this paper researched intothe existing issues in Dagukou port and discovered that Dagukou port shall maintainits healthy sustainable development by establishing multi-modal transportationmechanism, extending business range, improving overall service quality, providingmore policy and fund support to Tianjin Harbor Port Group Co., Ltd and buildingprofessional port.2. This paper detailedly introduced the development process of Tianjin HarborPort Group Co., Ltd (hereafter refer to as THPG), the main developer of Harbor Port,as well as THPG’s management system and organizational structure. In addition, bytaking the external environment into consideration, this paper analyzed andresearched into the current main issues and potential issues of THPG and put forwarddevelopment strategy for THPG. In the author’s opinion, the company shall focus onbuilding THPG to be the most competitive port logistics enterprise based on thedevelopment guiding principle of making use of port to achieve industrial prosperity;promoting diversified and comprehensive development; Taking human resource asfoundation and culture building as core.3. This paper adopted SWOT analysis to analyze Tianjin Harbor logisticsenterprises’ strength, weakness, opportunity and Threat, and put forward four development strategies, developing strategy, transforming strategy, diversifyingstrategy and defensing strategy, for logistics industry’s development in harbor.Meanwhile, based on the analysis, this paper put forward suggestions for thedevelopment of THPG. In the author’s opinion, the company shall establishdevelopment standard to integrate its development into regional development andguarantee the implementation of human resource strategy and enterprise culturestrategy.4. In Tianjin Harbor Port district, there were some issues in port managementsystem, transportation network and informationalization. In its further development,it shall develop port economy strategy based on Tianjin Harbor Economic Zone.Meanwhile, based on Tianjin Harbor Economic Development zone’s logisticsdevelopment guidelines, it shall focus on developing industries that are directly,closely and indirectly related to port; meanwhile, through improvement inmanagement system, government function and port’s macro environment to attractprofessional talents, build sophisticated transportation system, take developmentopportunity, adjust strategy plan and achieve significant development of port logisticsindustry.
