With the rapid development of the logistics industry, cargo information trackingand security monitoring in the logistics process become one of the hot spot of research,bring a wide range of embedded wireless monitoring technology application. The taskof goods vehicle logistics, according to the sales plan or order, is delivering the goodsvehicle safety to the designated sales store on time. In order to realize high qualitygoods vehicle logistics, need for real-time knowledge of the location of the truck, eachstate and stowage of goods vehicles in transit. Traditional GPS positioning can onlysolve position tracking of the transport trailer and some conventional early warningfunction, unable to monitor the status and stowage of the goods vehicles in trailer.This thesis develops a new vehicle monitoring system which combines GPS/RFID/GPRS/image acquisition module in a body. The system uses GPS to get thelocation information of the transport vehicle; uses RFID to tag transport vehicles; usessurveillance images to get the status and stowage information of goods vehicles. Onthis basis, by using local wireless communication platform, it can transmit theinformation back to the total monitoring center, and realize monitoring goods safety,transporting to the destination on time. The terminal installed in transport vehicles,without manual operation, communicates with the control center automatically,realizes required functions, and is important to practical application significance. Thehardware core of the system is Mini6410embedded system, which adoptsARM1176JZF-S kernel, the basic frequency can be up to553MHz. It has largestorage space and strong ability of calculation, and can satisfy the system for dataprocessing and storage needs. The GPS positioning, RFID, image acquisition andGPRS wireless transmission function module are expanded on the hardware platform.Software uses the embedded Linux operating system, which is used as the softwareoperation platform.This thesis firstly introduces the principle of the key technologies of GPS, RFIDand GPRS in vehicle monitoring terminal system; designs the total structure ofvehicle terminal system according to user’s requirements, completes the schemeselection of embedded microprocessor, GPS positioning module, RFID module andGPRS wireless transmission module of the hardware platform; builds EmbeddedLinux software development platform, designs a software system framework and programmes to realize the function of each module. The main focus of the thesis is thesoftware implementation of the various modules, including the realization of theGPRS network communication, the acquisition and real-time transmission of GPS、RFID and image information. At the same time the thesis also completes the test ofvehicle terminal by using the upper computer software, corrects the identifiedproblems. After several tests, the vehicle terminal system has a stable performance,and meets the functional requirements of the user.
