Landscape Design In Modern Urban Waterfront Area

As a part of environment engineering design, the planning of urban waterfront landscape has been valued more and more highly by the government, the water conservancy administration department and social public. The waterfront area project usually has long route and refers to wide scope, which influences on both the eco-environment and human culture of the urban.In order to deal with the problem of the most river in China, ecological environment deterioration, the local government usually uses the single and extensive governance model which has no appealing effects. So as the guideline of the project, the design and planning using scientific and reasonable research method which combined with the local natural and economic conditions and improving the function of rivers based on ecological concept is very important.Firstly, the theoretical research on modern urban waterfront landscape design is described to analyze more distinctly what are the characteristics, classification, aims and principles of the waterfront landscape planning, and how does it develop. Secondly, basic ideas of planning about urban waterfront landscape are given by analyzing and demonstrating the domestic and foreign research results and successful cases. And take the study of the landscape river in Zibo new district proves as an example to carry out the demonstration design.The landscape river in Zibo New Area, the main water system of the city, was built by the government according to the thinking of "old city reconstruction, new area improvement, the western expanding and the northern delay, all-round development." The analysis on this landscape river planning including functional planning, shoreline planning, water body planning, buildings planning, ecological construction planning and more showed that this planning fits the need of project implementation, which is the dominant direction of the local water ecological project construction in the future.
