Along with our country’s pipeline transport industry development in recent years,quite a number of long distance pipelines come into the middle or latter service period,with a large number of pipeline body defects. Traditional repair technology of pipelinebody defect is relatively fell behind, in general,it is difficult to fully meet the pipelinebody defect repair mission of large area, serious degree and large numbers. Resinmatrix composite repair technology, as a new type of oil and gas pipeline repairmethod, has the feature of good reinforcing effect, production stop free repair andhigh repair speed etc. It has become the focus of pipeline repairing technologydevelopment direction.This paper put forward a resin system design scheme based on the usecharacteristics and requirements of repair prepreg which was applied in oil and gaspipelines reinforcement, determined the composition and preparation of the resinsystem, and grasped the process characteristics of the resin system. The main body ofa prepreg resin formulation which was applied in pipelines reinforcement wascompleted.A resin system was given based on advanced carbon fiber, glass fiber reinforcedmaterials, developed prepreg for pipeline reinforcement, initially identified thepreparation process of the scale of production using vertical fabric prepreg machines,the storage performance and mechanical properties of the prepreg was researched. Abatch of prepreg preparation work that get the oil and gas pipeline reinforcementrepair prepreg engineering samples can be initially used in the scene.This paper worked out the “Preparation of pipeline defects of carbon fibercomposite repair technology specification (prepreg law)” to regulate the constructionprocess of the carbon fiber prepreg repair technology.
