With the rapid development of China’s manufacturing industry the pace ofmodernization is accelerating and the competition between the domesticautomobile group and the international automobile manufacturer is graduallydeepening. The automobile industry as the top priority in manufacturing industry hasa very important significance to the revival of national industry. In order to improvethe manufacturing level, the fundamental is how to accelerate the speed ofautomobile parts development、shorten the period of the corresponding mold designand ensure the quality and standardization degree of mold design,which needs to usethe three-dimensional solid modeling and create a large number of standard partslibrary instead of the idea of traditional two-dimensional modeling.To the standard parts library of automobile establishment,which based on theCATIA software,presents a module using knowledge engineering,thereby thestandard parts can be conducted parametric modeling,and put the model into thecatalog function module,then establish a method of the standard library. For exampleGuide pin parts,the work studying on establishment of standard parts library ofautomobile dies is as follows:1) There are many types of standard parts to establish standard part file. Inthis paper, the die standard parts in the automotive industry for the designcase,from which to pick and choose typical parts for editing.2) Create a standard parameter.when it is parametric product modeling, first ofall,analyse parts modeling features and extract the model parameters.Thendefine user-parameters and formulas、parametric modeling.Finally, test themode、view car die standard parts manuals、and clear the size of standardparts.We can according to the characteristics of standard parts to creat newparts file,then establish the appropriate function expression, create astandard entity by the expression.3)Create a excel parameter table,then input the changes in the value of thecharacteristic parameters. 4) Create the Catalog file. Put a series of parts into the Catalog file afterimporting standard parts file.In this paper, the plates that make great use of automotive stamping parts for thedesign parts, conduct mold design. Based on the requirements of the design of partssize, material, batch production and so on,firstly, analyse the process of theparts,ensure the blanking technology program and the program of mold structure,then through the calculation of process design, determine nesting and cutting board,calculate punching pressure, select Presses, calculate dimensions and tolerances ofconvex and concave mold edge,finally, design and select components, conduct3Dsolid modeling based on CATIA drawing.Using CATIA assembly module functionsand the designed standard parts library for standard parsing and calls,complete themold assembly drawing.
