The Present Status And Countermeasures Of Water Pollution Of Liao River Area

A growing population, booming economy, the ever-accelerating process ofurbanization has led to increasingly serious water pollution problems in China. LiaoRiver is one of the seven rivers of our country, it is the main source of drinking waterto residents in the basin, meanwhile it also is the receiver of the city’s sewage alongthe Liao River Basin water. Import large quantities of pollutants from various sourceshas made water quality of Liao deteriorated, causing the black and stink water, whichhas seriously affected the normal life and production activities in watershed on bothsides of the residents. Now, the Liao River has become one of the China’s mostheavily polluted rivers.Severe water pollution of basins in China has become a serious threat tosustainable development, and water pollution control mode of model is difficult toeffectively solve this problem. Against the Management system, mechanism, policysystem problems for river basin water pollution control, this paper propose model ofriver basin water pollution control measures and methods. Through graspCharacteristics about non-point source pollution of the Liao river. It is proposed putthe watershed as a unit, establish the management and strategies of non-point sources.The main findings we draw are as follows:1Main stream of the Liao River represents the overall performance of moderatepollution, of which the majority of Grade IV and V class section, small amount ofworse than Grade Ⅴ section; tributary of Liao River represents the performance ofsevere pollution, mostly of worse than Grade Ⅴ section.2the causes of water pollution of Liao River Basin include both naturalconditions and man-made causes, but its true cause are less of runoff, low ofself-diluting capacity, while the watershed have more the high water consumption andsewage enterprises, irrational industrial structure, coastal sewage facilities around theoperation level is low, led to the Liao direct receive large sewage.On basis of Liao River Basin Water Pollution Situation and causes, this paperproposed Related countermeasures:1Comprehensively improve the treatment and recycled of sewage water.2Strengthen the regulation of agricultural non-pointsource, create a rural source pollution control demonstration.3Establish and improvethe water quality monitoring and management systems to protect the safety ofdrinking water sources.4Strengthen environmental regulatory capacity.5Change thestructure of regional industrial, and actively adjust the focus on water aquaticecosystem recovery.This paper to analyze the water pollution situation of the Liao River, obtain thecauses and characteristics of water pollution in the study area, and to study themeasures and countermeasures. Therefore, we can say that this study provide accuratescientific basis for relevant departments of decision making, with some practicalsignificance.
