The groundwater has irreplaceable important position in the natural resources, an importantpart of water resources. The groundwater has important significance for the health of humanbeings and social wealth creation, therefore, the groundwater is constantly exploited andutilized. According to statistics, in our country for nearly30years, there have been more than400cities to mine groundwater, the mining of water increased year by year. In a country forover60years, along with the increase of the population, ceaseless improvement of people’sstandard of living rises, industrial and agricultural and rapid economic development haveaggravated our country’s water problems, groundwater pollution phenomenon has becomemore and more serious and presented from shallow to deep, from the cities to the countryside.Therefore, the phenomenon of groundwater pollution isn’t ignored, effective prevention andcontrol of groundwater pollution problem still has a long road, the most fundamental andmost economic method is to take the regional groundwater protection strategy policy.Groundwater environment pollution risk assessment is undoubted important basis and one ofeffective tools for the regional groundwater resources protection. So, to develop thegroundwater pollution risk evaluation work with scientific and reasonable method caneffectively protect the regional groundwater resources, in order to achieve the sustainableutilization of groundwater resources, good development of ecological environment, the goalof water and harmonious co-existence.In this study, groundwater pollution risk is defined as probability of groundwatercontamination and the damage degree of pollution receptors. The groundwater contaminationrisk assessment was studied in the following Liao river plain, the inherent vulnerability toreplace the possibility of contamination of groundwater system, the value level ofgroundwater system to characterize damage degree of groundwater pollution. Main contentsare as follows:(1)Comprehensive analysis of the groundwater has an important position in the naturalresources and faces a serious pollution and pollution hazard, then put forward the meaningand purpose of the risk evaluation of groundwater contamination. Summarize the definitionand research status and level in both at home and abroad, and the function of the groundwatersystem are given, finally put forward the research content and the general thought in thispaper.(2)In-depth analysis the study area of natural and geographical conditions, geological andgeomorphic condition, hydrology geology condition and groundwater system division, lay the foundation for the construction of the right index system of the groundwater pollution riskevaluation.(3)The aquifer inherent vulnerability evaluation in the lower Liao River Plain. Thisresearch use the evaluation index system and evaluation method of the most widely usedDRASTIC, combined with the specific conditions and material conditions of the study area,assesses inherent vulnerability of groundwater.The results showed that the highervulnerability of groundwater is in Panjin, Anshan area; Shenyang, Fuhun, Liaoyang, Anshanarea are medium-vulnerability; Tieling is the lower groundwater vulnerability.(4)The value evaluation of groundwater resources in the lower Liao River Plain. Fromthe influence factors of the groundwater resources value, and establishes its value evaluationindex system, and choose the suitable index for this study with theoretical model of mutationsmethod, assess the groundwater value. The results showed that groundwater resources valueare middle-grade and high grade in the Lower Liao River Plain. The study area is not rich ingroundwater resources and has a higher degree of development and utilization, medium-highof per capita GDP.As a production factor, groundwater participate in the industrial andagricultural production activities to create new higher value; high population density,intensified the contradiction between supply and demand.So the value of the groundwaterresources is medium-high.(5)Risk evaluation of groundwater pollution in the Lower Liao River Plain. Consolidatedgroundwater value evaluation result and groundwater vulnerability results is groundwaterpollution risk results. The causes of analyzing the results, and combining with the actualsituation, proposed the groundwater pollution risk management advice. The results showedthat the Lower Liao River Plain region is main medium-risk areas and heavy-risk areas.Medium-risk areas are Shenyang, Fushun, Jinzhou and Tieling. Heavy-risk areas are Anshan,Yingkou, Liaoyang, Panjin.(6)Combined with the specific circumstances of the study area and the evaluation resultsof the paper, puts forward suggestions of the prevention and treatment of groundwaterpollution risk management for policy makers.Finally, Generally summarizes the main contents of the paper and achievement, and to befurther studied problem was discussed.
