Clean Air is the survival of human activities in space as important environmental factors. Air quality is closely related to human quality of life and health. In recent years, Environmental issues become the main problems to human health, restricting economic development, destruction of a harmonious society. This problem is concerned by people widely. In this article, Meteorological elements and atmospheric environmental quality is studied. Using the observation data of wind speed, rain, temperature and relative humidity for32a between1971and2012, their climatic characteristics and climate change characteristics are analyzed. The regular patterns of temporal and spatial variation are analyzed by using atmospheric monitoring pollutant concentration values between2003and2012. And using the meteorological elements in the same period, correlation analysis of pollutants and meteorological elements is studied. At last, nine preventive measures are proposed according to the atmospheric pollution in Hohhot. Conclusions are as follows:In Hohhot, Season average wind speed is the largest in spring and is least in autumn and in winter. The maximum of monthly average wind speed is in April and May. The average summer temperature is highest and the average winter temperature is the lowest. The maximum of monthly average temperature is in July and the minimum of monthly average temperature is in January. The average summer rainfall is the maximum but the average winter rainfall is the minimum. Precipitation is mainly concentrated in July and August. The minimum relative humidity is in spring. The annual average concentration values of PM10and NO2is declining trend in total, and the annual average concentration values of SO2is rising trend. The season average concentration values of PM1O、 SO2、NO2is the largest in winter but the least is in summer and autumn. And the maximum of monthly average concentration values is in January and in December. The average concentration values of PM10、SO2、NO2in heating period was significantly higher than in non-heating period. Wind speed and the concentrations of SO2、NO2、PM2.5showed a negative correlation, but wind speed and the concentrations of PM10is more complex. When ground daily average wind speed is less than1.8m/s, wind speed and the concentrations of PM10showed a negative correlation. When ground daily average wind speed is greater than1.8m/s, wind speed and the concentrations of PM10showed a positive correlation. Precipitation and the concentrations of PM10、SO2、NO2、PM2.5showed a significant negative correlation. Temperature and the concentrations of PM10、SO2、NO2、PM2.5showed a significant negative correlation. When relative humidity is less than59%, relative humidity and the concentrations of SO2showed a positive correlation. When relative humidity is greater than59%, relative humidity and the concentrations of SO2showed a negative correlation.
