Scheduling And Quality Management For Yth Phosphorus Chemical Project Under Epc Mode

EPC project management mode is the mainstream model of international and domestic project contracting. With the domestic project contracting continue to mature, more and more domestic design institutes began to transform into field of engineering general contracting work. But there is a large gap between pure engineering design and comprehensive and strong engineering general contracting; and design institutes do not have enough experience in procurement and construction for the overall control of EPC project schedule and quality. How to improve the schedule and quality requirement, therefore, became a major factor to the domestic EPC project’s success. The author discussed the point in the paper combining his work experience and experience of the engineering general contracting project.This paper, on the basis of understanding current development situation of EPC in domestic and foreign, with YTH phosphorus chemical project being its background, have discussed project schedule management and quality management in the stage of design, procurement and construction. Firstly, in design phase, this article used PDCA circulation for quality management. Secondly, in procurement phase, the author took variety ways for quality management. Finally, the author focused on the project construction phase, providing a detailed introduction on schedule development, corrective measures for schedule deviation and quality inspection method of project construction. In quality deviation analysis, sequence diagram method, layering method and causal analysis were employed let quality deviation of YTH phosphorous chemical project get an accurate embodiment in construction so that corresponding measures and solutions could be taken to solve the quality problem fundamentally, guaranteeing the project construction process and go smoothly and orderly.As more and more complex chemical engineering projects become, in EPC mode, the owner requires shorter construction period and higher quality. So it becomes the focus of the project construction that how to meet the schedule and ensure the quality at the same time. This paper proposed a method for improving the quality of engineering design and schedule and quality control measures in the procurement and construction phrase, which can be used for reference by engineering company engaged in EPC general contracting.
