Grinding is an important way of precision and ultra-precision machining. Due to various reasons, if grinding wheel leads to an unbalanced state during operation, vibration caused will continue to pass to the mechanical parts of the equipment,making working conditions of these mechanical parts worse off, until completely damaged.grinding head performance. Deg-radation caused by spindle and bearing vibration will not be able to guarantee the quality of the workpiece, so the balancing extent of wheel restricts the quality of theworkpiece, and vibration also accelerates the wheel excessive wear of the wheel, further restricts the life of the life of the grinding wheel and processing costs.Grinding wheel’s dynamic balance technology has been more and more attention at home and abroad.Extensive research and testing has been carried out for it. For the steel conditioning wheel, it has new features of large replacement frequency, high efficient, stable and low cost in processing. Therefore,the design of the billet grinding wheel on-line automatic balance system will have great research and economic significance.In this paper, the main purpose is to design an online dynamic balane system for steel conditioning wheel on the basis of wheel’s auto-balancing technology in the past. This paper studies the following aspects;Wheel online self-balancing technology research and development are outlined, and the significance of this study are described;The basic theory of grinding wheel’s online dynamic balance are studied in detail;the th-eoretical analysis for the imbalance mechanism and cause are made.the balance type of the steel conditioning wheel aer identified;the characteristics of the two signals on the wheel operation and theoretical analysis of u sing ideas are outlined;Paper designs hardware processing circuit for the reference signal and vibration signal, after reference signal processing circuit32multiplier phase-locked,50multiplier phase-locked the band-pass filter circuit, the signal become easy to collect by the acquisition card; Theoretical analysis and derivation method to extract the phase and amplitude of unbala-nced signal are maked, Fourier transform, wavelet decomposition and correlation function are put forward;a balanced strategy for the system refer to online balance situation is selectted, and the wheel-sided balancing measurement and control system based on virtual instrument is writtenThrough this study,a framework of steel conditioning wheel’s onine dynamic balance system is framed, which laids a good foundation for further study on steel conditioning wheel’s onine dynamic balance technology.
