A new kind of cotton and other natural fiber fabric after treatment processing technology is developed only in last several years, the technology was modified of cotton and fiber with liquid ammonia. After the modified by liquid ammonia, part of the yarn’s cellulose crystal changed from cellulose I type to cellulose III type, so that the fabric dyeing, soft luster, anti wrinkle and shrink, elasticity, tensile strength and tear strength has greatly improved, the quality and grade of products significantly improved, at the same time with significant economic and social benefits. In developed countries, they mostly adopt continuous modified equipment, which can handle large quantities of fabric, but the whole system’s one-time investment is too large, and cannot adapt to the new small batch, many varieties, high-quality production’s main mode in future. According to the actual situation of our country, we mainly used intermittently modified equipment for bulk fiber, yarn, garment and modification modified treatment.In this paper, mainly in the batch of the widely used modified equipment as the background, since the modification process was so complex and the modified media two-phase changed frequently, reference can be less, by using the process simulation software to simulation and analysis the key nodes of fiber modification process, determine the critical modification process and equipment’s parameters, and complete the hardware and software design of the control system according to the parameters obtained The whole system to achieve a highly automated fiber modification process. The main work is as follows:(1) Firstly, understanding fiber modification process and technology requirements, according to the modified process and medium circulation flow, simulate several key nodes, such as liquid ammonia tank emergency venting device, compressor, condenser, reactor etc, check the design of system, provide several control parameter for the control system and some data for the selection of the key equipment.(2) Secondly, according to the modified process and control requirements, complete hardware design for control system. The hardware of the control system is composed of IPC, PLC, remote intelligent A/D module, mechanical and electrical equipment of the field, complete the electrical system design and control cabinet wiring.(3) Thirdly, according to the modified process and control requirements, complete software program design for control system. Mainly includes the control program design, modular PLC control system programming, upper and lower communication programming based on Industrial Ethernet. (4) Fourthly, According to the system requirements, use the KingView configuration software develop a upper PC monitoring system, realize the monitoring of modified process and equipment status, control mode selection, system parameter setting, remote control and other functions.Through continuous improvement and perfection on the control system designed in this paper, already meet the requirements for fiber modified system, has been put into trial production, the overall running smoothly, will bring huge economic and social benefits.
