With the development of science and technology, the application of hydrostatic fluid theory and hydrostatic technique in engineering are gradually expanded. Especially in heavy duty machinery, which can give fully express the characteristics of hydrostatic theory. While the oil films between the motion parts are completely isolated, greatly reduces the influence of the surface which is not perfect flatness. These characteristics are making up the large-scale surface which cannot fulfill the specification for designing tolerance. The proper selection of thickness can either ensure the floating height or elimination the affect from large and rough surface. At the same time the minimum viscosity liquid of hydraulic could support high-speed running but the power needing is very small, so it can improve the efficiency of CNC machine tool. All in all research on fluid characteristics and supporting are very meaningful for engineering machinery.Taking GTC630200CNC Vertical Gantry Lathe as an example, the article analyzed the characteristics of lathe rotary working table. Meanwhile analyzed working conditions under different working paths, making the maximum payload and feed conditions as the research limitation; considering the condition when the force is offset, then calculating the stress and maximum deformation between different oil chambers; initializing the oil film thickness and getting the minimum pump feeding cavity; calculating the oil film stiffness; verifying the results through the prototype running; and dealing with the deviations.Regarding to the cross slider; the article analyzed the guider form and the geometry comparison and selection; assembly method and the matters needing to be attention; the static analysis, the balance equation and solving; expounds the design methods and calculation of constant flow models and unequal models; and the bearing capacity of constant flow capacity and stiffness calculation; qualitative and quantitative analysis; the test results of the prototype analysis; and the optimization methods for fulfilling the future demanding.In all, with the application of static theory in engineering, the parameters of hydrostatic bearing are verified by prototype through testing, and finally made a series of documentations; all of these can quickly and directly display the indicators, and provide a theoretical basis for the future designing.
