| The stiffness and load capacity of hydrostatic guideway are mainly depend on the film thickness, so it is essential to guarantee the optimum value of oil film thickness in order to improve its performances. This paper puts the research stress on the influence to stiffness and load capacity caused by the film thickness, the variation range of film thickness under step load and the dynamic stiffness under sine wave load, applies theoretical computation and modeling and simulation on analyzing the static performance and dynamic performance of a vertical lathe’s hydrostatic guideway. According to the performance shortfalls of the original system, a new oil supply system is designed and analyzed in this paper.This vertical lathe uses open hydrostatic round guideway with proportioning oil supply system. Firstly, this paper determines the structure and size of the hydrostatic round guideway. And then it designs the proportioning oil supply system and chooses components. This paper analyzes the relationship between stiffness and load capacity and film thickness, establishes the model of proportioning oil supply hydrostatic guideway, analyze the dynamic performance under step load and sine wave load.The hydrostatic guideway with proportioning oil supply system can’t adjust the film thickness. The film thickness changes with the load changing and affects machining accuracy, so this paper raises the thin film throttling oil supply system to replace the original oil supply system and design the new system. Analyze the performance of the new system and find that it is much better than which of the original system, so the hydrostatic guideway with new oil system can improves the machining accuracy of vertical lathe.With advantages of high accuracy and large rigidity as well as low attrition, the hydrostatic guideway is widely applied in the field of CNC Machine Tools, also some scrap machine tools with abraded guideways or spindles are reused after equipped with hydrostatic guideway or spindles. The study made by this paper can offer some reference to the designing and upgrading of these machine tools, so it has some practical significance. |
