The effect of initiator, emulsifier, chain transfer agent and other factors to the synthetic of basic latex was researched by researching the steps of preparing ABS which using agglomeration. The effect of factors in agglomerating process to particle size of PB formula were researched and the polymer agglomerating agent was synthesized. The formula and process were optimized by researching the effect of emulsifier, initiator, chain transfer agent and other factors to the grafting reaction. And ABS resin was synthetized by mixing and prilling process. The result were shown following.1. The basis emulsifier polymerization:the gel content of emulsion which prepared by heat initiator KPS can met the requirements of following grafting. The smooth of reaction and the quality of emulsion can be insured by using the composite emulsifier of2.2%potassium oleate and2.0%disproportionate rosin soap and by add75%of described composite emulsifier at the begging. The single electrolyte as K2CO3and composite electrolyte as K2CO3and Na4P2O7both can be used, and dosage of which was0.5~0.7%.2. The heat initiator system should be optimized, the mixed monomer should be segmental added and the dosage of MMA should be10~16%in the agglomerating synthesizing process. The good agglomerating affect can be got on the conditions of the dosage of agglomerate agent was1.2~2.0%of emulsion, the concentration of emulsion was lower than10%and the temperature of agglomerating was30~50℃. When the pH of agglomerate system was9, the dosage of electrolyte was0.1%of dry rubber, and the stabilizer was about1.0%of emulsion, the stability of the system got the best affect.3. The formula and process of agglomerated EBR grafting polymerization was shown: emulsifier using0.4~0.6%of with the best adding method is40%of which added grafting emulsion and the others dropwise added into copolymer monomer, the dosage of chain transfer agent was0.2~0.3%, and the temperatures were respective65/70/75/80℃.4. The properties of agglomerated ABS was better than premium grade of ABS301W, which is shown it was an effective method of synthesizing ABS resin that increase the particle size using agglomerate.
