The Study On Metal Tableware Style In China, Europe And Japan

With the improvement of people s living standard, the tableware which set decoration andfunctionality in one form has attracted much attention nowadays. In Europe, the metaltableware art has always been a good continuation, and developed a widely diversified style;in Japan, by the fusion of European and Chinese styles, formed its unique metal tablewarestyle; in China, there are also some artists and craftsmen engaged in production of traditionalmetal tableware and have its market, but its modeling are generally monotonous, continuingin traditional style, and production line are concentrating in minority areas. As one branch ofmodern concept of product design, metal tableware art now have not been gained widelyattention. This paper will introduce the concept of Tableware, trying to sum up the metaltableware for products ranging from a new angle, namely vessels or artifacts can be used andenjoy on the desktop.There are different in religious beliefs, cultural traditions and aesthetic ideas betweeneastern and western countries, with the development of metal tableware in our country, we candraw forms of western products in Chinese traditional aesthetic concepts at the same time.Bringing cultural and ethnic elements can make the metal tableware meeting the Chinesetraditional aesthetic taste. This paper wants to explore how to develop the modern Chinesestyle, based on studying metal tableware in Europe and Japan, and combined with thedeveloping situation in China.
