As market competition becomes increasingly fierce, many countries or economic entities are reshaping the economic structure, and service is becoming an important means of competi-tion among the enterprises. Then the concept of PSS (product service system), which is defined as a pre-designed system of products, service, supporting infrastructures and necessary net-works, attracts the worldwide attention in recent years. At the same time, manufacturing com-panies are shifting from focusing on single product design and production to paying attention to overall solution (including product and service) design and production, which are prompted by the following factors:sustainable manufacturing and consumption, customer for functional-ity or results provided by product and service together, increasing homogenization of product, and so on. That PSS arises under the circumstances.Based on customer needs, the thesis researched on the PSS of CNC machine tool. Centr-ing on the obtaining and analysis of customer needs, and transferring and delivery to PSS project characteristic of CNC machine tool, the thesis used the QFD and TRIZ integration me-thod to help the designer to design product service system solutions, to meet the customer needs. The thesis is mainly focusing on the following aspects:(1) The analysis of the definition and classification of PSS, and existing research systems and techniques. In addition, this thesis summarized the domestic and foreign relevant research and expounded the PSS research techniques, then reviewed the research progress of product service.(2) The research on obtaining and analysis of customer of CNC machine tool, and the transferring and delivery to PSS solution characteristic. Then, this thesis proposed QFD and TRIZ integration method to solve the transferring and delivery, technique characteristics con-flict of customer demand.(3) The research on the project configuration and decision of CNC machine tool PSS. At first, this thesis used QFD to build the HOQ of CNC machine tool, which is as the base of product and service configuration, and then built PSS case database. At last, according to cus-tomer needs the decision-making of optimized target case was made.This study established a new design system and methodology for PSS conceptual design, built a theoretical foundation for the further research of this field, and also provided technical support for customer needs transferring and delivery, configuration design and PSS project de-cision-making. And the proposed method was applied in the PSS case of CNC machine tool to test its effect.
