In recent years, new media has attracted more and more attention, andaugmenting reality technology has become a hot topic discussed by people.Augmenting reality is the technology which makes people perceived bysuperposition of simulation of science and technology as well as real world, soas to achieve real sensory experience. With development of technology,augmenting reality has gradually penetrated into many traditional industriesand the printed field is no exception. Prints based on augmenting reality canmake up many deficiencies of traditional paper products, thereby enhance theaudience reading experience and enforce information dissemination force.This paper adopts the method of literature analysis and lesson conclusion.According to the characteristic of traditional paper media and new media, thispaper elaborates the positive role of cross-border integration of new and oldmedia in the field of information dissemination through the collection of a largenumber of domestic and international cases of augmenting reality. Thus, thispaper aims to discuss role and problem of prints based on augmenting realityin the field of information dissemination, and looks forward to the prospect ofprints based on augmenting reality.
