SiChuan province is a key area in various period of China history. Notonly for its military importance, which is hard for attacking and easy for defense, butalso it is an area rich of various natural resource. Beside the resources, its highlydeveloped economic environment makes it a quite importance area for nationalresource supply. In Qin dynasty, the governor Li Bin leaded to build a great dam---DuJiang Yan, which makes Si Chuan a really richly endowed area. People called it asHeaven’s State. Not only can irrigate the fields, Du Jiang Yan can also prevent floodand drought. But still in Song Dynasty, Si Chuan was frequently subject to variousdisasters every year. Usually, the flood, drought and earthquake came and makespeople lack of food and clothes. This article summarizes the principle of Si Chuandisasters via systematical analysis based on the disasters, and makes clear of thefeature of them, which can reproduce the actual disaster history of this area in ancienttimes.
