Corn husk is corn processing production process of by-products. According to the statistics, every year in China for the production of corn starch corn, more than15million tons, the by-products corn husk production in the100-1.5million tons, and the sources of the raw materials concentration, to be convenient for the subsequent large-scale industrialization process. And corn husk contains abundant L-Arab xylan, its extraction into L-Arab sugar, can not only realize waste utilization, and can produce considerable economic benefits.L-Arab sugar as a low-calorie sweetener, has been the United States food and drug administration and the health ministry approval in health food additive. L-Arab sugar the most representative physiological function is a selective impact on small intestinal disaccharide sucrose hydrolysis enzyme digestion of sucrase, thus inhibiting the absorption of sugar. According to the report, adding2%L-Arab sugar, can inhibit the absorption of sugar40%, at the same time also inhibit blood glucose value less increase about50%; If L-Arab sugar adding amount to4%, can make blood glucose value not rise, the inhibition of insulin secretion is the same.
