By collecting data to our country modern lace group’s record and research onthe concept and the study of historical development of lace, modern Chinese lacepattern of the general situation and characteristics are summarized.2. Through four aspects (source, form, color and technique) from analysis ofreal lace object to analyze the system of Chinese modern lace pattern. Then thecharacteristics of Chinese modern lace patterns are summarized, which helps providea theory reference for practical design and a first understanding of lace patterns’usage.3. Based on the analysis and summery above, we know Chinese modern lacepatterns provide amount of materials for modern garment design. Of course, it is notrote, but a Master of modern lace pattern which contains national characteristics andcultural background. The pursuit of diversified design technique riches the garmentdesign species with Chinese element and expands the range of application of Chineselace patterns. Therefore, the lace patterns of our country could be more protectedand inherited. At this time of information&culture globalization, clothing industry rapidlydevelops in our country. Designers in succession from imitating the western cultureidea turn to the traditional culture of our country, being aware of their own featuresinto the national design works is the mainstream. National element is the main bodyin the development of art.
