The Application Of Weaving Elements In Fashion Design

With a long-standing history, weaving is a traditional crafting form in China. Thispaper analyzes the effects of weaving elements in fashion design. Summarizing onlineinformation and survey data and evaluating consumer perception of the effects of weavingelements, the author compares and analyzes the application of weaving elements in thedesigns of world-renowned brands and provides a comprehensive analysis of the applicationof weaving elements in the design process.This article investigates the various factors that affect the application of weavingelements in fashion design, systematically breaking the analysis into three subject areas:color, style and material. The traditional plane weaving method, creation of decorativethree-dimensional woven patterns, make some reference for the application of our countryknitting elements in fashion design.Incorporating various weaving elements that fit the respective material used, severaldesigns are also presented, including fall/winter, spring/summer clothing. These designs areinnovative on the ground of the popular style, contributing to the understanding of theapplication of weaving elements in clothing design.
