Study On The Low-carbon Construction In Wuhan City Based On Emergy Theory

Wuhan is the mid central city in our country, in the strategy of mid rise abruptly, it’s the most representative and most important city. In recent years, Wuhan’s rapid economic development, not only brought change rapidly to the city, but also consume a lot of resources, and led to the city’s climate and environment deteriorated gradually. Therefore, it must to accelerate the construction of low carbon city in Wuhan, reduce the greenhouse gas emissions, protect ecological environment, make the city residents to live and work in peace, lead Wuhan embark on the road of sustainable development.Based on emergy theory, research Wuhan’s2001-2010social ecological economic system by using emergy analysis method, through the emergy indices analysis, find the problems existing in the development of Wuhan. Then, for the purpose to promote Wuhan’s social ecological economic system health development, combine the strategy and method of domestic and foreign low carbon city, looking for the construction path of low carbon city which fit Wuhan.Emergy analysis conclusion points out that2001-2010Wuhan’s economic and social development mainly relies on the use of non-renewable resources, the production efficiency is low, and has caused enormous pressure to the environment system.The sustainable development index of less than1, belongs to the standard of consumption economic system.Wuhan’s economic and social development is rapid, but in some respect such as resource utilization, production efficiency, environmental protection still exist problems, the sustainable development of the city also needs to be strengthened. This paper points out that the construction path of Wuhan’s low carbon city including four aspects, which are low-carbon city planning and construction, low-carbon energy use, low-carbon economic development and low-carbon way of life.And from this four respects, put forward som policy proposal.
