As one of the three progressive techniques0f the petroleum engineering in1980s, theturbo drill and screw drill as the main body of downhole drilling tools have been gotconsiderable development. The turbine blades as an important part of determining theturbine performance, its modeling design is a very important link. For a long time themodeling of turbine blades were made use of freehand drawing before, time-consumingand laborious. This article uses the method of Bezier curve to accomplish the modeling of turbineblades, because this curve is much simpler than the general description of the equation. It isable to determine the shape of the curve as long as given the control points. And the curveby this method not only meet the requirements of the turbine blade lineļ¼Œbut also make thecurvature change continuous, as well as can establish mathematical model according to theactual requirements. By the modeling method of Bezier curve, through the Matlab softwareprogramming to realize parameterized, then the blades of different shapes and performancethat can be obtained by changing the parameters. In order to make the parameters input and modification convenient in the design forthe turbine blades, the blade curve generation program is designed as a simple graphicaluser interface in this article and thus it will need not to open the complex M procedureswhen modifying parameters. This paper uses the Matlab GUI functionality to conduct auser interface design. In addition, the performance and efficiency of the turbine bladesmainly depends on the shape of the blade, blade design is reasonable or not will need to beanalyzed, the traditional analysis before is time-consuming and laborious, now we useANSYS in FLOTRAN CFD module for analysis, it can improve the design efficiency.Through the analysis of a single blade flow field, we can see there is no serious flow on theblades from the resulting velocity and pressure distribution, and the hydraulic performanceof blades is also meet the requirements.
