Busbar processing equipment is mainly used for electrical switchgear industry. It’s used processing of all kinds of copper or aluminum bus, making them become the desired shape or structure. With the economic rapid development, massive investments in infrastructure, the increase demand for bus machine in market and its degree of automation is also a corresponding increase. Currently, the domestic market has emerged automation bus machine with own brand, but in general still in the imitation and exploration stage. There are still large gaps compared with foreign products. However, foreign products more expensive tend to be outside the purchasing power of the domestic users, and therefore further research is needed to develop a more cost-effective automation busbar processing equipment, to make it more consistent with the demand of the domestic market.This article mainly analysis for the turret moldbase punching machine. First, analysis of the functional and structural characteristics of the bus punching machine, according to the structural characteristics of the busbar punching machine, busbar punching machine is divided several modules by attributes. They are hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical transmission and control system, and doing a detailed analysis of their role and works. Then, the performance analysis and research is conducted to hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mobile workbench, and turret moldbase institutions. According to the institutional nature the simplified model is created. The hydraulic system is simplified as a model of the valve controlled asymmetric hydraulic cylinder; the pneumatic system is simplified as a model of VRLA cylinder; the screw workbench is simplified as quality-damping model; the turret moldbase institutions is simplified inertia-damping model. The mathematical model is built based on simplified physical model, introduction the parameters of busbar punching machine, using Simulink simulation analyse the dynamic response of each module.Then, according to busbar punching machine workflow planning, and the institutions performance analysis results, and busbar punching machine functional requirements, determine the busbar punching machine control system developed by the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface). PLC as the main control unit of the busbar punching machine, to achieve logical action and servo control; HMI is used to input, display, data storage and processing; HMI and PLC work together to achieve the control tasks. Data exchange via serial communication between them, to form a relationship upper and lower computer. The program not only solves the conflict between functionality and cost, but also ensures that the machining accuracy, and provides a new idea for the dedicated control system development.
